Senate embarks on recess after funding government and confirming Blanche, punting other priorities

The Senate adjourned early Saturday for a five-week recess after passing a bill to fund the federal government through Dec. 11 and confirming Todd Blanche as attorney general. Senate Republicans set aside President Trump's request to approve another budget resolution before leaving.
