Tennessee tabbed top road underdog value in Week 8 markets

Prediction markets like Tennessee's chances at South Carolina while also backing road favorites Air Force, Indiana, Iowa, BYU and Kansas State.

Week 8 prediction markets are leaning hard on road teams, with six selections all favoring visitors, and the headline case belongs to No. 11 Tennessee. The Volunteers travel to Columbia as a 2.5-point underdog against South Carolina despite already beating Alabama 26-10 this season and losing only to Texas by three points. South Carolina, meanwhile, comes off an idle week following a 38-19 win at Florida.

Elsewhere, the markets see value in road favorites rather than upset picks. Air Force enters its matchup at 5-1 overall and 3-1 in Mountain West play, riding the conference's longest active winning streak at four games. A win would make the Falcons bowl eligible, with Kalshi giving them a 68% chance and Polymarket 65%, as of Friday, October 23 at 9 p.m. ET.

Indiana, Iowa, BYU and Kansas State round out the group of road favorites markets are backing this week. The pattern suggests oddsmakers and bettors see more danger lurking for home teams than usual, with several ranked squads facing tighter spreads than their records might suggest. The slate sets up what could be a chalk-heavy week for road teams across the board.
