The running back returns to practice Wednesday after six games on the exempt list, with his status for Sunday still unsettled.
Josh Jacobs is back in the building. The Packers running back will return to practice Wednesday after the NFL lifted him from the commissioner's exempt list, where he had sat since Aug. 30, three days after charges were filed against him stemming from a May altercation.
Coach Matt LaFleur called Jacobs "an elite-level back" and said the plan for using him against Detroit on Sunday is still being worked out. "I think that's going to be determined throughout the course of the week," LaFleur said Monday, a day after Green Bay's 23-13 win over the Cowboys. "See where he's at, see how he's feeling and then we'll make a decision."
Jacobs, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, gives the Packers a potential fix for a rushing attack that has struggled all season. He will get a full week of practice before any decision is made on his game status.
Green Bay won't have defensive end Micah Parsons back at practice this week as they prepare for the Lions.
