The hamstring injury hit on the Rams' penultimate offensive snap of a loss to the Cardinals that dropped them to 2-4.
Rams coach Sean McVay confirmed Monday that receiver Davante Adams ruptured his hamstring and will be out six to 10 weeks, a brutal blow for a team that just fell to 2-4. Adams, a six-time Pro Bowl pick and last season's NFL leader in touchdown catches, got hurt on the Rams' penultimate offensive snap of Sunday's 18-16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
The injury news didn't stop there. Defensive tackle Poona Ford is done for the year, headed to season-ending injured reserve. Fellow defensive tackle Kobie Turner is also expected to miss significant time, leaving the Rams thin up front just as the losses start to pile up.
The timing stings. Arizona's win pushed Los Angeles three games behind the San Francisco 49ers in the win column, with San Francisco playing Washington on Monday Night Football. Losing Adams for roughly a month and a half to two and a half months leaves McVay needing other receivers to pick up the slack while the defensive line sorts out life without Ford and, soon, without Turner.
