It was their second meeting in five months, and this time there was no drama about who would come out on top.\n\nDubois wasted no time, dropping Wardley to the canvas just 17 seconds into the fight. Wardley, who had actually knocked Dubois down in their first encounter, tried to fight back with a big right cross against the ropes, but it missed its mark. Dubois kept pouring on the pressure as the round ended, with Wardley's corner reportedly ready to throw in the towel before the bell saved him.\n\nThere was no such reprieve in round two. Dubois picked up where he left off, continuing to rock Wardley until the referee stepped in to wave off the fight. The win settles the rivalry decisively and keeps Dubois's title around his waist after a dominant, one-sided rematch.","published_at":"2026-10-17T23:48:29.232361+00:00","source_count":4,"written_from":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Daniel Dubois destroys Fabio Wardley in blistering fashion to fulfil rematch vow","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/daniel-dubois-finishes-fabio-wardley-221222172.html"},{"outlet":"ESPN","publisher":"ESPN","title":"Dubois destroys Wardley in brutal 2nd-round TKO to retain title","url":"https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/50202526/daniel-dubois-fabio-wardley-2-boxing-wbo-heavyweight"},{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"Daniel Dubois runs through Fabio Wardley with second-round TKO to retain heavyweight title","url":"https://www.cbssports.com/boxing/news/daniel-dubois-vs-fabio-wardley-results-highlights-winner-heavyweight-title/"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Daniel Dubois vs. Fabio Wardley 2 preview and predictions: Is revenge on the menu in Fight of the Year rematch?","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/boxing/article/daniel-dubois-vs-fabio-wardley-2-preview-and-predictions-is-revenge-on-the-menu-in-fight-of-the-year-rematch-164246245.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Daniel Dubois vs. Fabio Wardley 2 weigh-in results: Dubois has slight 5-pound edge ahead of Fight of the Year rematch","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/daniel-dubois-vs-fabio-wardley-180720455.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Daniel Dubois vs. Fabio Wardley 2, Sebastian Fundora returns: 5 things for a busy boxing weekend","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/boxing/article/daniel-dubois-vs-fabio-wardley-2-sebastian-fundora-ermal-hadribeaj-brandon-figueroa-5-things-for-boxing-weekend-183438682.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Dubois and Wardley at career-heaviest for rematch","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/dubois-wardley-career-heaviest-rematch-184228750.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Daniel Dubois vs Fabio Wardley 2: Live blog and results, round-by-round updates!","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/daniel-dubois-vs-fabio-wardley-060000635.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Dubois vs Wardley 2: Start time, undercard and how to watch fight tonight","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/dubois-vs-wardley-2-start-110355635.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Dubois vs. Wardley 2 Start Time, Full Fight Card Details!","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/dubois-vs-wardley-2-start-082000324.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley set for heavyweight title rematch in London","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/daniel-dubois-fabio-wardley-set-110149824.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Dubois vs. Wardley 2 Highlights, Streaming Updates TODAY!","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/dubois-vs-wardley-2-highlights-154059421.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Usyk Vacated His Belts.
