The two teams entered as No. 4 and No. 5 in the rankings, setting up one of the weekend's marquee matchups.\n\nIndiana tried to engineer a late comeback but couldn't finish it off this time. Earlier in the game, the Hoosiers' Nico Radicic missed a 55-yard field goal attempt late in the third quarter.\n\nThe broadcast itself became its own storyline. Fox tapped Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt to call the Big Noon Saturday game, with Johnson carrying a reputation in Indiana lore for losing his voice while calling the Hoosiers' comeback win over Penn State last November. This time, viewers said Johnson stumbled through key moments of the call rather than rising to meet them, sparking reaction across the college football world about his performance during the broadcast.\n\nIndiana's loss snaps what had been a dominant run for the program, while Ohio State gets a measure of revenge for its championship game defeat. Both teams will look to regroup as the season continues.","published_at":"2026-10-17T23:48:29.232361+00:00","source_count":3,"written_from":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"College football world reacts to Gus Johnson gaffes during Indiana-Ohio State game","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/college-football-world-reacts-gus-213057580.html"},{"outlet":"Awful Announcing","publisher":"Awful Announcing","title":"College football world reacts to Gus Johnson gaffes during Indiana-Ohio State game","url":"https://awfulannouncing.com/college-football/gus-johnson-gaffes-indiana-ohio-state-reactions.html"},{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"Ohio State vs. Indiana prediction, odds, time: Week 7 college football picks by proven model","url":"https://www.cbssports.com/betting/news/ohio-state-indiana-prediction-odds-start-time-2026-week-7-college-football-picks-best-bets/"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Behind Enemy Lines: Ohio State vs. Indiana from a Hoosier perspective","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/behind-enemy-lines-ohio-state-110239939.html"},{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"Ohio State vs. Indiana prediction, odds, time: Week 7 college football picks by proven model","url":"https://www.cbssports.com/betting/news/ohio-state-indiana-prediction-odds-start-time-2026-week-7-college-football-picks-bets/"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Ohio State vs. Indiana live score, updates: Will Buckeyes end Hoosiers' win streak in Big Ten battle?","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/college-football/live/ohio-state-vs-indiana-live-score-updates-will-buckeyes-end-hoosiers-win-streak-in-big-ten-battle-153335937.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Ohio State vs. Indiana live score, updates, highlights from 2026 college football game","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/ohio-state-vs-indiana-live-133002939.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Indiana football has homework in each phase after loss to Ohio State","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/indiana-football-homework-phase-loss-200509496.html"}],"image":null,"embed":null,"license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","attribution":"Analysis data is licensed CC BY 4.0.
