It is early in the season, but this already feels like a game Dallas needs if it wants to stay in the NFC East race.\n\nGreen Bay enters with momentum. Last week against division rival Chicago, the Packers offense finally clicked, putting up 428 total yards and 31 points, their first 400-plus yard game since Week 1. Much of that came from explosive plays, with their skill players creating chunk gains through the air.\n\nDallas, meanwhile, is dealing with defensive trouble. After getting embarrassed by Tampa Bay on a Thursday night game, the Cowboys brought in Mike Pettine to assist first-time defensive coordinator Christian Parker. The hope is that better scheme and Pettine's experience can steady a unit that has struggled, even though Green Bay's offensive line is considered a weak point the Dallas front could exploit.\n\nWith both teams leaning on narratives of what needs fixing, Sunday night in Green Bay doubles as an early test of which problem gets solved first.","published_at":"2026-10-17T05:34:53.087177+00:00","source_count":3,"written_from":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Cowboys at Packers: 3 causes for concern in Week 6","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/cowboys-packers-3-causes-concern-220000411.html"},{"outlet":"Fox Sports","publisher":"Fox Sports","title":"2026 NFL Week 6 Best Bets, Expert Picks: Back Cowboys-Chiefs Teaser","url":"https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/2026-nfl-week-6-best-bets-expert-picks-back-cowboys-chiefs-teaser"},{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"NFL Week 6 odds, predictions, expert picks: Cowboys roll into Lambeau Field to face Packers","url":"https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-week-6-picks-and-predictions-spread-odds-best-bets/"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Cowboys vs. Packers prediction, odds, pick for Week 6 Sunday Night Football","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/cowboys-vs-packers-prediction-odds-181353472.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Cowboys at Packers: Matchups to watch in Week 6","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/cowboys-packers-matchups-watch-week-190000674.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Cowboys’ Dak Prescott Gives Fans Reason for Hope About Defense","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/cowboys-dak-prescott-gives-fans-220828245.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Dallas Cowboys 2026 Week 6 rooting guide for playoff paths","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/dallas-cowboys-2026-week-6-223000762.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Packers vs. Cowboys: 3 key matchups to watch in Week 6","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/packers-vs-cowboys-3-key-004855096.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Bears vs. Falcons bold predictions for NFL Week 6","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/bears-vs-falcons-bold-predictions-061729981.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Dallas Cowboys offensive line vs. Green Bay Packers defense","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/dallas-cowboys-offensive-line-vs-130000592.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Digging into the numbers to predict Cowboys at Packers","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/digging-numbers-predict-cowboys-packers-163000682.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Cowboys-Packers, the Greatest Out-Of-Division Rivalry","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/cowboys-packers-greatest-division-rivalry-171351058.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Cowboys looking for first complete game of season to win at Packers","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/cowboys-looking-first-complete-game-183000901.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"NFL predictions: Expecting lots of points and a Packers win over the Cowboys","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/nfl-predictions-expecting-lots-points-184042773.html"}],"image":{"url":"https://s.yimg.com/lo/mysterio/api/2d53fcfc3fd9d719fb3214380b63bad1d7e5cb0e6c817de074debb588c317304/lightyear_networkapi/resizefill_w1200_h675%3Bquality_80%3Bformat_webp/https%3A%2F%2Fmedia.zenfs.com%2Fen%2Fsb_nation_articles_115%2F27814eae3b4115a94612aedd7ed2fd2e.jpg","credit":"Yahoo Sports","width":1200},"embed":null,"license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","attribution":"Analysis data is licensed CC BY 4.0.
