On Amazon Prime's postgame show, analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick unloaded on the third-year quarterback, calling his performance \"almost disrespectful to the quarterback position.\"\n\nFitzpatrick said Nix is \"not playing competitively\" and questioned his decision-making, pointing to a third-and-eight screen call as an example of a quarterback who \"doesn't want to throw the ball.\" He added that Nix \"has no trust from his coach\" and said he could only imagine how head coach Sean Payton and offensive coordinator Davis Webb felt watching it unfold.\n\nFellow analyst Tony Gonzalez went further, suggesting Nix should be benched after the game. The criticism stands in contrast to the result on the scoreboard, where Denver knocked off the defending Super Bowl champions. For a Broncos team that got the win, the postgame conversation made clear plenty of people think the offense is still a problem.","published_at":"2026-10-16T05:19:20.697634+00:00","source_count":3,"written_from":[{"outlet":"The Athletic","publisher":"The Athletic","title":"Ryan Fitzpatrick rips Broncos’ Bo Nix: ‘Almost disrespectful to the quarterback position’","url":"https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7695087/2026/10/16/ryan-fitzpatrick-bo-nix-broncos/"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Ryan Fitzpatrick blasts Bo Nix, calls TNF performance 'almost disrespectful' to QB position","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/ryan-fitzpatrick-blasts-bo-nix-043316779.html"},{"outlet":"Pro Football Talk","publisher":"NBC Sports","title":"Ryan Fitzpatrick on Bo Nix's night: \"That right there is garbage\"","url":"https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/ryan-fitzpatrick-on-bo-nixs-night-that-right-there-is-garbage"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Broncos dealt uncomfortable question from ESPN analyst on Bo Nix","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/broncos-dealt-uncomfortable-espn-analyst-200210843.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Bo Nix thinks he isn't playing any differently for Broncos.
