The Packers star, recovering from a torn ACL, also weighed in on a winless week across his former NFC East division.
Micah Parsons isn't speeding up his recovery just to make a point against Dallas. The Packers pass rusher, still working back from the torn ACL he suffered in Week 15 last season, addressed the hype around a potential return for Green Bay's Week 6 matchup with his former team at Lambeau Field.
"So many people wanted me to be back for that game to make the game bigger than what it was," Parsons said on his podcast, "The Edge with Micah Parsons." He called it "just another Sunday Night Football game against two good teams" and said it's not about him, adding that he knows he let some people down by not framing it as a revenge mission against the team that traded him after last year's contract standoff.
Parsons also had thoughts on the NFC East's rough Week 5. None of the division's four teams won. The Cowboys fell 24-16 to the Buccaneers, with turnovers doing the damage and Tampa Bay's Bucky Irving running wild, dropping Dallas to 2-3. The Eagles lost 19-17 to the Jaguars, while the Giants and Commanders played to a tie.
