Milwaukee held on for a 6-2 win in Game 3, taking a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven National League Championship Series.\n\nThe result leaves the defending World Series champion Dodgers on the brink of elimination. Los Angeles came into this postseason chasing a third straight World Series title, a feat that would mark a rare hat-trick, but now finds itself facing a steep climb just to extend the season.\n\nHistory is not on the Dodgers' side. Only one team in MLB history, the 2004 Boston Red Sox, has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a best-of-seven postseason series. A year ago, the Dodgers were the ones sweeping Milwaukee out of the NLCS. Now the shoe is on the other foot, with the Brewers one win away from reaching the World Series and the Dodgers needing to find answers fast just to stay alive.","published_at":"2026-10-15T05:04:16.719263+00:00","source_count":4,"written_from":[{"outlet":"ESPN","publisher":"ESPN","title":"Brewers put Dodgers on brink of sweep, seize 3-0 NLCS lead with Game 3 win","url":"https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/50186797/brewers-put-dodgers-ropes-seize-3-0-nlcs-lead-game-3"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Brewers blasts leave Dodgers on brink","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/brewers-blasts-leave-dodgers-brink-031709685.html"},{"outlet":"New York Post","publisher":"New York Post","title":"Brewers put Dodgers season on the brink with stunning comeback Game 3 win","url":"https://nypost.com/2026/10/14/sports/dodgers-face-historic-3-0-nlcs-hole-as-brewers-move-within-one-win-of-sweep/"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Derek Jeter sounds alarm on Los Angeles Dodgers as Milwaukee Brewers move closer to NL pennant","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/derek-jeter-sounds-alarm-los-171406809.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Spoiled LA Dodgers Fans Already Giving Up?
