Shedeur Sanders hires an agent for the first time in his NFL career

The Browns quarterback has signed with Adie von Gontard, CEO of Young Money APAA Sports, who also represents former Colorado teammate Travis Hunter.

Shedeur Sanders has hired an agent, ending the self-representation arrangement that carried him through the 2025 NFL Draft and into his pro career. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the move, which pairs Sanders with Adie von Gontard, CEO of Young Money APAA Sports.

The hire is notable timing given where Sanders sits on Cleveland's depth chart. The Browns currently carry four healthy quarterbacks, and the move has fueled speculation about what comes next for Sanders in Cleveland.

Von Gontard's agency now represents both Sanders and Travis Hunter, who played together at Colorado before each entering the NFL. Sanders going through the entire draft process and the start of his professional career without an agent was itself unusual, making this hire a notable shift in how he manages his career going forward.

Nothing has been announced regarding a trade or roster move, but the decision to formalize his representation now, amid a crowded quarterback room, has drawn attention from those watching Cleveland's plans at the position.
