Los Angeles heads into Game 3 of the NLCS down 2-0 after Milwaukee's 7-4 win in Game 2, putting the two-time defending World Series champions in a hole they need to climb out of fast.\n\nThe series now moves to Los Angeles, where the Dodgers will try to get back into things before the Brewers get a chance to push them to the brink of elimination. Game 3 is set for Wednesday, October 14, at 8 p.m. ET on FS1.\n\nThe issue for Los Angeles has been offense. Despite a lineup built around Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, the Dodgers have struggled to consistently produce runs this postseason, a problem that has only grown more glaring with the season now on the line.\n\nMilwaukee, meanwhile, is two wins from its first World Series berth in this run and has the Brewers listed among the favorites to win it all. Los Angeles, long the team to beat, now finds itself without that distinction for the first time all season as it tries to extend its championship window against a Milwaukee club playing with house money.","published_at":"2026-10-14T23:18:50.247625+00:00","source_count":5,"written_from":[{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"Dodgers vs. Brewers prediction, odds, start time: 2026 NLCS Game 3 picks by proven model","url":"https://www.cbssports.com/betting/news/dodgers-brewers-prediction-odds-start-time-2026-nlcs-game-3-picks-best-bets/"},{"outlet":"New York Post","publisher":"New York Post","title":"Brewers vs. Dodgers Game 3 prediction: NLCS picks, odds, bets","url":"https://nypost.com/2026/10/14/betting/brewers-vs-dodgers-game-3-prediction-nlcs-picks-odds-bets/"},{"outlet":"ESPN","publisher":"ESPN","title":"Every team's odds to win the World Series: Brewers, Rays lead favorites","url":"https://www.espn.com/espn/betting/story/_/id/46793185/espn-mlb-betting-odds-futures-bets-world-series-american-national-league"},{"outlet":"The Athletic","publisher":"The Athletic","title":"World Series odds: Dodgers not favored to win for the first time this season — but the Brewers are","url":"https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7689765/2026/10/14/world-series-odds-dodgers-brewers-rays/"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Brewers vs. Dodgers Game 3 Preview: Los Angeles Faces Must Win NLCS Showdown","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/brewers-vs-dodgers-game-3-030343720.html"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Brewers replace Dodgers as World Series favorites after taking 2-0 NLCS lead","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/brewers-replace-dodgers-world-series-172329961.html"},{"outlet":"ESPN","publisher":"ESPN","title":"NLCS, ALCS odds: Dodgers, Guardians Game 3 faves, Brewers, Rays series favorites","url":"https://www.espn.com/espn/betting/story/_/id/50132233/2026-mlb-playoffs-alcs-nlcs-betting-odds-spreads"},{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"Dodgers vs. Brewers prediction, odds, start time: 2026 NLCS Game 3 picks by proven model","url":"https://www.cbssports.com/betting/news/dodgers-brewers-prediction-odds-start-time-2026-nlcs-game-3-picks-bets/"},{"outlet":"New York Post","publisher":"New York Post","title":"Brewers vs. Dodgers NLCS picks: Game 3 odds, best bets, predictions","url":"https://nypost.com/2026/10/14/betting/brewers-vs-dodgers-nlcs-picks-game-3-odds-best-bets-predictions/"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"NLCS Game 3 Open Thread","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/nlcs-game-3-open-thread-000000748.html"}],"image":{"url":"https://sportshub.cbsistatic.com/i/2026/10/14/9554ff61-fa3c-4c0e-af77-a3d88534be0e/kyle-tucker-los-angeles-dodgers-imagn-images.jpg","credit":"CBS Sports","width":1920},"embed":null,"license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","attribution":"Analysis data is licensed CC BY 4.0.
