Lamar Jackson misses Wednesday practice, still eyeing Browns return

A league source tells ESPN the Ravens quarterback has a realistic chance to play Sunday despite sitting out again.

Lamar Jackson was out of practice again Wednesday, with Ravens head coach Jesse Minter calling the quarterback day-to-day as he manages an ankle injury.

Jackson has been dealing with the ankle issue since it kept him out against Atlanta. Despite the missed practice time, a league source told ESPN that Jackson has a realistic chance to return for Sunday's Week 6 matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

Baltimore expects to have a clearer picture by midweek as Jackson continues pushing to get back on the field. For now, the team is treating his status week-to-week rather than ruling anything in or out.

No corresponding timetable has been set beyond the day-to-day label, and the Ravens have not confirmed a starter for Sunday. The situation remains fluid as the team monitors Jackson's progress through the rest of the week.
