The Lions, Bengals, Dolphins and Vikings are all sitting out, which means Jahmyr Gibbs, Chase Brown and Aaron Jones are unavailable, forcing fantasy managers to dig into their running back depth charts for reliable replacements.\n\nAt quarterback, the absences open the door for Jordan Love, who moves into top-three territory with Joe Burrow and Jared Goff also on bye. Kirk Cousins gets a notable mention too, landing in must-start range against what is described as a vulnerable Bills defense.\n\nRunning back remains the position managers lean on most for weekly consistency, and this week's rankings are built around identifying backs positioned to produce despite the bye-week gaps at the top of the position. Analysts are also updating broader rankings, starts and projections across the board to help managers navigate the altered landscape.\n\nThe emphasis for Week 6 is less about star power and more about finding dependable options while four fantasy-relevant rosters sit idle.","published_at":"2026-10-14T04:49:16.110960+00:00","source_count":3,"written_from":[{"outlet":"The Athletic","publisher":"The Athletic","title":"NFL Week 6 fantasy football rankings, starts, projections: MarShawn Lloyd, Marvin Harrison and more","url":"https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7687544/2026/10/14/nfl-week-6-fantasy-football-rankings-starts-projections-marshawn-lloyd-marvin-harrison/"},{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"Fantasy football Week 6 QB preview: Jordan Love surges into top three of quarterback projections","url":"https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/fantasy-football-week-6-qb-preview-jordan-love-surges-into-top-three-of-quarterback-projections/"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Fantasy Football Running Back Rankings: Week 6 2026","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/fantasy-football-running-back-rankings-211239176.html"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Fantasy Football QB Rankings Week 6: Josh Allen Leads, Brock Purdy Draws a Strong Rebound Spot","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/fantasy-football-qb-rankings-week-230004338.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings: Week 6 2026","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/fantasy-football-quarterback-rankings-week-140201244.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"NFL Fantasy Football Week 6 2026 Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em: Quarterback","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/nfl-fantasy-football-week-6-164922797.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Fantasy Football Rankings: Justin Boone's top quarterbacks for Week 6","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/article/fantasy-football-rankings-justin-boones-top-quarterbacks-for-week-6-170358490.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Week 6 Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings: Drake Maye Climbs While Justin Herbert Plummets","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/week-6-fantasy-football-quarterback-173628019.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Fantasy Football QB Rankings for Week 6","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/article/fantasy-football-qb-rankings-for-week-6-175114310.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 6","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/article/fantasy-football-rankings-for-week-6-175227752.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Fantasy Football TE Rankings for Week 6","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/article/fantasy-football-te-rankings-for-week-6-174705233.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Fantasy Football WR Rankings for Week 6","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/article/fantasy-football-wr-rankings-for-week-6-174811652.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Week 6 Fantasy Football Rankings Hub: Advice to help with your start/sit questions","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/article/2026-fantasy-football-rankings-week-6-start-sit-advice-182604603.html"}],"image":null,"embed":null,"license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","attribution":"Analysis data is licensed CC BY 4.0.
