Dodgers manager Dave Roberts announced during Tuesday's off-day workout that Ohtani will remain in the starting lineup as designated hitter for Game 3 of the National League Championship Series on Wednesday night, despite a rough stretch at the plate and injuries to his left knee and right arm.\n\n\"He's adamant he feels good enough to be in there,\" Roberts said. \"He's close to finding something with his swing. I feel great about it.\"\n\nOhtani is 3 for 20 this postseason, and the Dodgers find themselves down 0-2 in the series to the Brewers. He addressed reporters at Dodger Stadium for the first time since the playoffs began, saying his symptoms \"have subdued a lot\" and that his priority is helping the team win.\n\nThe Brewers have made life difficult on opposing hitters all series, grinding out long at-bats and deploying hard-throwing pitchers from a variety of arm angles. With the Dodgers facing a series deficit, Roberts is betting that Ohtani's own confidence in his swing translates into results when it counts most in Game 3.","published_at":"2026-10-14T04:49:16.110960+00:00","source_count":3,"written_from":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Shohei Ohtani to remain in Dodgers lineup despite hitting slump, injuries","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/shohei-ohtani-remain-dodgers-lineup-233914373.html"},{"outlet":"Fox Sports","publisher":"Fox Sports","title":"Can Shohei Ohtani Find His Form?
