Parsons says Daniels' OT clock blunder could cost Dan Quinn his job

The Commanders and Giants finished tied 27-27 after late-game clock mismanagement, and Micah Parsons is pinning it on quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Micah Parsons used his podcast, The Edge with Micah Parsons, to go after Jayden Daniels over the Commanders' overtime mess against the Giants, a game that ended in a 27-27 tie after a clock-management blunder. Parsons said Daniels "probably cost my man Dan Quinn his job," with Quinn having been Parsons' defensive coordinator in Dallas.

Parsons was careful to note he's a fan of Daniels, saying "I'm a big Jayden Daniels fan," but added that the quarterback "probably cost a lot of people their jobs this past weekend." He pointed to how thoroughly players are coached on these exact situations, saying the late-game procedures are "programmed" into him even as a defensive player, and that he would have known not to take a sack in that spot.

Parsons isn't playing this week against his old team, the Cowboys, as he continues working back from the torn ACL that ended his first season in Green Bay early. He remains out, but clearly still has plenty to say about how the rest of the league is playing out without him.
