The NFL had suspended the Rams left tackle after he punched Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb following Monday night's game between the two teams, but an appeal has trimmed the penalty in half.\n\nThe original two-game ban would have kept Jackson out for the Week 6 home game against the Cardinals and the Week 7 road trip to face the Raiders. Rams coach Sean McVay had confirmed Jackson planned to appeal after the suspension was handed down, and that appeal worked out in the lineman's favor.\n\nJackson still has to serve time away from the team for the incident, but losing one game instead of two is a real difference for a Rams offensive line that would rather not be shuffling parts any longer than necessary. The specifics of which game he will now miss were not immediately detailed.","published_at":"2026-10-14T23:18:50.247625+00:00","source_count":5,"written_from":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Rams LT Alaric Jackson's suspension reduced to 1 game","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/rams-lt-alaric-jacksons-suspension-234521670.html"},{"outlet":"ESPN","publisher":"ESPN","title":"Rams' Jackson has suspension cut to 1 game following appeal","url":"https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/50185418/rams-alaric-jackson-suspension-cut-1-game"},{"outlet":"New York Post","publisher":"New York Post","title":"Sean McVay reveals Alaric Jackson’s next move after NFL suspends Rams star for throwing punch","url":"https://nypost.com/2026/10/13/sports/rams-alaric-jackson-to-appeal-two-game-nfl-suspension-for-punching-bills-bradley-chubb/"},{"outlet":"Pro Football Talk","publisher":"NBC Sports","title":"It's official: Rams LT Alaric Jackson suspended two games","url":"https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/its-official-rams-lt-alaric-jackson-suspended-two-games"},{"outlet":"The Athletic","publisher":"The Athletic","title":"Rams LT Alaric Jackson suspended 2 games for punching Bills' Bradley Chubb","url":"https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7687641/2026/10/13/rams-alaric-jackson-suspension-punch-bills/"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"If Alaric Jackson is suspended for his punch, it'll expose Rams' fatal flaw","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/alaric-jackson-suspended-punch-itll-153042216.html"},{"outlet":"New York Post","publisher":"New York Post","title":"Rams lineman Alaric Jackson expected to be suspended two games for punching Bradley Chubb","url":"https://nypost.com/2026/10/13/sports/rams-alaric-jackson-expected-suspended-2-games-punching-bradley-chubb/"},{"outlet":"ESPN","publisher":"ESPN","title":"Sources: NFL expected to suspend Rams LT Jackson two games for punch","url":"https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/50173615/nfl-suspends-rams-lt-jackson-punching-bills-chubb"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"NFL suspends A.J.
