The answer arrived Sunday, right as Arizona kicked off at home against the Lions and Houston was finishing off Tennessee on the road.\n\nDeMeco Ryans spent part of his postgame news conference dodging questions about Harrison before changing his mind on the way out the door. \"You guys want to know, huh? Yes, we traded for Marvin Harrison. See ya!\" he said, closing the book on a trade that had been reported but not confirmed through the first three quarters of two different games.\n\nHarrison was inactive for Arizona's game against Detroit, which was still in the first quarter when Ryans made it official. Houston gives up a 2027 second-round pick and a 2027 sixth-rounder, while Arizona sends back a 2027 seventh along with Harrison.\n\nThe Texans, now coming off a 26-3 win that snapped a winless start to the season, add Harrison in hopes of giving their offense another weapon. Mike LaFleur said the trade talk swirling around Arizona's game was not a distraction and not why the Cardinals' offense struggled Sunday.","published_at":"2026-10-13T04:46:28.436033+00:00","source_count":5,"written_from":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Cardinals make final Marvin Harrison Jr. decision, and Texans pay the price","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/cardinals-final-marvin-harrison-jr-110552450.html"},{"outlet":"The Athletic","publisher":"The Athletic","title":"History suggests Marvin Harrison Jr. trade won't work out for Texans","url":"https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7683525/2026/10/12/marvin-harrison-jr-trade-texans-cardinals-pick-six/"},{"outlet":"Pro Football Talk","publisher":"NBC Sports","title":"Mike LaFleur: Marvin Harrison Jr. situation wasn't a distraction, not why we didn't play well","url":"https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/mike-lafleur-marvin-harrison-jr-situation-wasnt-a-distraction-not-why-we-didnt-play-well"},{"outlet":"ESPN","publisher":"ESPN","title":"Why did the Cardinals trade Marvin Harrison Jr.?
