Oklahoma arrived desperate at 2-2 and 0-1 in SEC play, needing a win to keep any realistic hope of a College Playoff return alive. By the final seconds, it was the Sooners celebrating a come-from-behind victory.\n\nArch Manning threw two interceptions in the fourth quarter, and Oklahoma capitalized to complete the comeback. Texas had built its season on escaping its own flaws, and in Dallas those flaws finally caught up with the Longhorns, from special teams breakdowns to late-game mistakes at quarterback.\n\nOklahoma's offense had struggled coming in, ranked last in the SEC in yards per game and without a touchdown in three of its previous four losses to Texas. None of that mattered once Manning's turnovers gave the Sooners their openings in the fourth quarter.\n\nTexas now drops out of the No. 1 spot and faces five straight ranked opponents with real questions about its offense. Oklahoma, meanwhile, walks away with one of the bigger upsets of the season and a measure of life back in its own campaign.","published_at":"2026-10-12T17:03:19.018988+00:00","source_count":4,"written_from":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Texas vs Oklahoma: Live updates, TV/streaming info, betting lines for Red River Rivalry","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/texas-vs-oklahoma-live-updates-194000962.html"},{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"Texas spent weeks escaping its flaws, and Oklahoma exposed all of them in Red River","url":"https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/texas-flaws-oklahoma-exposed-red-river/"},{"outlet":"Pro Football Talk","publisher":"NBC Sports","title":"Arch Manning's two fourth-quarter interceptions doom Texas in loss to Oklahoma","url":"https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/arch-mannings-two-fourth-quarter-interceptions-doom-texas-in-loss-to-oklahoma"},{"outlet":"New York Post","publisher":"New York Post","title":"Oklahoma stuns No. 1 Texas in final seconds after Arch Manning throws two fourth-quarter interceptions","url":"https://nypost.com/2026/10/10/sports/oklahoma-stuns-no-1-texas-in-final-seconds-for-huge-win/"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Oklahoma stuns No. 1 Texas with Tate Sandell field goal on final play","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/oklahoma-stuns-no-1-texas-233347889.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Arch Manning's two fourth-quarter interceptions doom Texas in loss to Oklahoma","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/arch-mannings-two-fourth-quarter-233809187.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Texas vs Oklahoma highlights: Watch Arch Manning's big plays Cam Coleman, Ryan Wingo","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/texas-vs-oklahoma-highlights-watch-234220921.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Texas football rankings: Where will Longhorns fall after Oklahoma loss?","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/texas-football-rankings-where-longhorns-235747769.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Arch Manning’s Heisman hopes ruined after brutal Red River Rivalry fourth quarter","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/arch-manning-heisman-hopes-ruined-000817501.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"How Arch Manning and No. 1 Texas handed Red River victory to Oklahoma with mistake after mistake","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/arch-manning-no-1-texas-001007026.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Oklahoma makes history in upset win over Texas","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/oklahoma-makes-history-upset-win-001222696.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"‘Offense Is Mediocre,’ ‘We Still Have Chances’ — Texas Fans React After Oklahoma Hands No. 1 Longhorns First Loss on Last-Second Field Goal","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/offense-mediocre-still-chances-texas-002545412.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Arch Manning’s roller coaster 4th quarter vs. Oklahoma has Texas fans raising eyebrows","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/arch-manning-roller-coaster-4th-004547970.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Arch Manning is Texas liability, not an asset.
