Both games will be played in Milwaukee. The Dodgers earned the flexibility to line up their rotation exactly how they wanted after closing out the Braves in four games in the NLDS.\n\nSkubal struck out seven in six innings in that Game 1 win over Atlanta, allowing one run and two hits in a 5-3 victory, and walked two. It's now the fourth time he'll get a Game 1 start in the postseason. Across seven career postseason starts, Skubal has a 1.97 ERA with 63 strikeouts and seven unintentional walks in 45 2/3 innings, and he has gone at least six innings every time out.\n\nMilwaukee will counter with Jacob Misiorowski in Game 1. Misiorowski has faced the Dodgers twice during the regular season plus a relief appearance in last year's NLCS, posting a 1.59 ERA with 27 strikeouts and three walks in 17 innings against them.\n\nYamamoto, last year's World Series MVP, will start Game 2 on Monday at American Family Field. Both Skubal and Yamamoto will also be available to start later in the series in Games 5 and 6.","published_at":"2026-10-10T16:20:28.847621+00:00","source_count":4,"written_from":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Tarik Skubal starts for Dodgers in NLCS Game 1, Yoshinobu Yamamoto in Game 2","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/tarik-skubal-starts-dodgers-nlcs-232155596.html"},{"outlet":"Fox Sports","publisher":"Fox Sports","title":"Dodgers-Brewers NLCS Game 1 Will Be Skubal vs. Misiorowski; Yamamoto For Game 2","url":"https://www.foxsports.com/stories/mlb/dodgers-turn-to-tarik-skubal-for-nlcs-game-1-opener-vs-brewers-yoshinobu-yamamoto-set-for-game-2"},{"outlet":"ESPN","publisher":"ESPN","title":"Skubal gets Game 1 start for Dodgers in NLCS, followed by Yamamoto in Game 2","url":"https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/50143689/dodgers-tarik-skubal-start-game-1-nlcs-vs-brewers-yoshinobu-yamamoto-game-2"},{"outlet":"The Athletic","publisher":"The Athletic","title":"Dodgers name Tarik Skubal, Yoshinobu Yamamoto as starters for NLCS Games 1 and 2","url":"https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7676199/2026/10/09/dodgers-tarik-skubal-yoshinobu-yamamoto-nlcs-game-1-2-starters/"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Dodgers turn to Tarik Skubal for NLCS Game 1 opener vs Brewers; Yoshinobu Yamamoto set for Game 2","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/dodgers-turn-tarik-skubal-nlcs-002950057.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Dodgers’ Dave Roberts reveals when Tarik Skuba, Yoshinobu Yamamoto will pitch vs. Brewers","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/dodgers-dave-roberts-reveals-tarik-021759997.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Dodgers tap NLCS rotation order to replicate dominance over Brewers","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/dodgers-tap-nlcs-rotation-order-234139639.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Dodgers set starting pitchers for beginning of NLCS vs. Brewers","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/dodgers-set-starting-pitchers-beginning-050910661.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Dodgers make Tarik Skubal decision that should worry Brewers before NLCS showdown","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/dodgers-tarik-skubal-decision-worry-115147485.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Dodgers notes: NLCS history with Brewers, playoff scoring down this year","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/dodgers-notes-nlcs-history-brewers-120200506.html"}],"image":{"url":"https://s.yimg.com/lo/mysterio/api/df12c1b8df80e2b21744d0c60a0d3344d4b45b61954db28c61e079f0e17c6f41/lightyear_networkapi/resizefill_w1200_h675%3Bquality_80%3Bformat_webp/https%3A%2F%2Fmedia.zenfs.com%2Fen%2Fsb_nation_articles_115%2Feccd1f6f42e6b557f74377a965bfe763.jpg","credit":"Yahoo Sports","width":1200},"embed":null,"license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","attribution":"Analysis data is licensed CC BY 4.0.
