The SEC showdown between the two undefeated teams stays on schedule for Saturday night at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
President Donald Trump will not attend Saturday's game between Alabama and Georgia after all, with Hurricane Isaias bearing down on the region. Tuscaloosa Police confirmed the change in plans, and Trump himself said he would no longer be making the trip.
The game itself is unaffected. Both Alabama and Georgia, each undefeated, are still set to kick off Saturday night at Bryant-Denny Stadium as originally planned despite the approaching storm.
The weather has already reshaped other parts of the weekend's buildup. ESPN's College GameDay, which had been scheduled to broadcast from Tuscaloosa outdoors, will now be held indoors because of the hurricane.
With Trump out of the picture, attention shifts back to the matchup itself, a marquee SEC clash between two unbeaten programs that was always going to draw plenty of eyes even without a presidential visit. Fans heading to Bryant-Denny Stadium should still expect the effects of Isaias in the area, even though the game has not been postponed or moved.
