The Aces star becomes the first player in league history to win three consecutive MVPs, beating out finalists Olivia Miles, Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Breanna Stewart.
A'ja Wilson has been named the 2026 WNBA MVP, extending her own record to five career wins and becoming the first player in league history to capture three straight. The Las Vegas Aces forward played in 41 games this season, averaging 26.2 points per game, the highest mark in the WNBA this year and the second-highest of her own career. She also put up 9.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.9 blocks per game.
Wilson won the award over fellow finalists Olivia Miles, Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Breanna Stewart. Miles had already picked up the 2026 Rookie of the Year honor this season.
No other player in WNBA history has won more than three MVPs, putting Wilson in rare company. Across both the NBA and WNBA, only three NBA players, including Michael Jordan, have matched her five MVP awards. The win cements her status among the greats of the sport as she continues to add to a resume already bound for the Hall of Fame.
