Georgia-Alabama headlines a loaded Week 6 college football slate

Bettors and oddsmakers are circling the 7:30 p.m. ET matchup as one of the most heavily wagered games of the season.

Georgia and Alabama meet Saturday in a game oddsmakers expect to draw heavy betting interest all week. Caesars Sports head of football trading Joey Feazel said both teams have attracted public money every week leading into the matchup, calling the 7:30 p.m. ET window always the most heavily bet slot of the day and this one shaped up as a top-five game of the season.

It is not the only name on the Week 6 board. Oregon-UCLA and LSU-Kentucky also show up in SportsLine's model, which likes Arkansas and Nebraska this week. FOX's Big Noon Kickoff turns its attention to Indiana-Nebraska, while analysts elsewhere are digging into market pricing on other teams. One angle getting attention: Florida was held to 42 rushing yards and 17 points at Missouri after running for 302 yards on Ole Miss, and the total for its next game has slid from 62 to 59.5 without fully catching up to how lopsided that Missouri game looked. App State, meanwhile, blew a 21-point lead at NC State before its bye and returns as a 9.5-point favorite against an Old Dominion team that used three quarterbacks in a 42-10 loss.

There is also talk of a hurricane in the Gulf that could factor into how the Georgia-Alabama lines move before kickoff.
