He walked to the sideline, spent time in the injury tent, then headed to the locker room with a trainer.\n\nAt halftime, coach Shane Beamer told ESPN the staff was worried. \"We're concerned, he's got an ankle right now,\" Beamer said. \"Taking an X-ray on it, don't know the results of that right now.\" Despite the scare, Sellers returned to action in the second half.\n\nThe timing mattered given how well Sellers has played. He arrived at the game with 1,849 passing yards and 22 total touchdowns against seven interceptions, and he had just thrown five touchdowns in a 42-25 win over Oklahoma in Week 9. That performance was part of a three-game win streak for South Carolina, with Sellers playing some of the best football of any quarterback in the country over the last month. Losing him for any stretch would have been a significant setback for Beamer's offense, which has leaned heavily on his dual-threat ability all season.","published_at":"2026-11-07T23:49:20.417156+00:00","source_count":3,"written_from":[{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"LaNorris Sellers injury: South Carolina QB returns after first-half exit vs. Texas A&M","url":"https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/lanorris-sellers-injury-updates-south-carolina-qb-texas-a-m/"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"LaNorris Sellers injury update: South Carolina QB leaves Texas A&M game for locker room","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/lanorris-sellers-injury-south-carolina-213138610.html"},{"outlet":"The Athletic","publisher":"The Athletic","title":"LaNorris Sellers leaves South Carolina game vs. Texas A&M game with lower-leg injury","url":"https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7762070/2026/11/07/lanorris-sellers-injury-update-south-carolina/"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"LaNorris Sellers injury update, star South Carolina QB exits Texas A&M game","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/lanorris-sellers-injury-star-south-212144095.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"LaNorris Sellers limps game-winning TD into the end zone as No. 21 South Carolina downs Texas A&M","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/college-football/breaking-news/article/lanorris-sellers-limps-game-winning-td-into-the-end-zone-as-no-21-south-carolina-downs-texas-am-232831846.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Gamecocks' LaNorris Sellers injured against Texas A&M, returns to game","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/gamecocks-lanorris-sellers-injured-against-004600273.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"South Carolina QB LaNorris Sellers returns from injury to beat Texas A&M","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/south-carolina-qb-lanorris-sellers-012216923.html"}],"image":null,"embed":null,"license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","attribution":"Analysis data is licensed CC BY 4.0.
