The Warriors rookie posted his first YouTube video showing the moment he surprised his mother, Yissel Raposo, with a brand-new house.\n\nIn the video, Lendeborg stands outside the home holding a gift box as family members gather around him. He admits he is nervous before the reveal, then tells his mom, \"On behalf of everybody that came to show up, welcome home,\" inviting her to step inside and \"test it out.\" She breaks down in tears at the sight of her new home.\n\nLendeborg has credited his mother for \"saving my life,\" pointing to a heart-to-heart conversation the two had back in 2019 as a turning point. Now, with his NBA career taking off, he is paying that support back in the most literal way possible. The video marks a personal milestone off the court to go along with his hot start on it.","published_at":"2026-11-07T22:51:28.850708+00:00","source_count":4,"written_from":[{"outlet":"New York Post","publisher":"New York Post","title":"Yaxel Lendeborg embraces life- changing moment for family","url":"https://nypost.com/2026/11/07/sports/yaxel-lendeborg-vlog-series-life-changing-moment/"},{"outlet":"The Athletic","publisher":"The Athletic","title":"Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg surprises his mother with a new house","url":"https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7760903/2026/11/07/warriors-rookie-yaxel-lendeborg-buys-mom-house/"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Watch Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg surprise his mom with new house","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/watch-warriors-rookie-yaxel-lendeborg-062053532.html"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Warriors’ Yaxel Lendeborg doesn’t want any media training and is looking to stay true to himself","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/warriors-yaxel-lendeborg-doesn-t-215501161.html"},{"outlet":"ESPN","publisher":"ESPN","title":"Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg fulfills 'lifelong goal' with new home for his mom","url":"https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/50412162/yaxel-lendeborg-warriors-gifts-mom-home"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg surprises mom with new house in amazing moment","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/warriors-rookie-yaxel-lendeborg-surprises-225315465.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg buys house for his mother, who saved his basketball career","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/article/warriors-rookie-yaxel-lendeborg-buys-house-for-his-mother-who-saved-his-basketball-career-235024826.html"}],"image":null,"embed":null,"license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","attribution":"Analysis data is licensed CC BY 4.0.
