Miami and Notre Dame set for Week 10 primetime matchup

The game pits a one-loss Notre Dame squad against a Miami team that already beat the Irish once this year, back in 2025.

Notre Dame heads into Week 10 at 7-1, a season that started with lopsided wins over Wisconsin, Rice, Michigan State, Purdue, North Carolina and Stanford before a 28-24 upset loss to then-No. 8 BYU knocked them off their perfect pace. They answered with a 35-13 win over Navy, but their College Football Playoff positioning is on the line again as they face Miami.

The two programs have a long history, having met 28 times before this one, with Notre Dame holding the edge in wins while Miami has nine victories and the two have drawn once. Miami won the most recent meeting in 2025, 27-24.

Oddsmakers are split depending on where you look. One line has Miami as 7-point underdogs to Notre Dame, while another has the Fighting Irish as 5.5-point favorites. Rankings in circulation also vary, with Miami appearing at No. 1 in one outlook and Notre Dame slotted at No. 11.

Whatever the numbers say, the matchup carries weight for both teams' playoff hopes as the season moves into its second half.
