Colts in trade talks over QB Daniel Jones

Indianapolis has fielded interest from multiple teams, with the Ravens confirmed to have checked in before instead landing Jacoby Brissett from Arizona.

The Colts' apparent fire sale has reached the quarterback room. According to reports from NFL Network and ESPN, Indianapolis has engaged in trade discussions with multiple teams regarding Daniel Jones, the player who was supposed to be the franchise's answer at the position.

Of the teams involved, only the Ravens have been confirmed as actually talking to the Colts about Jones, described as a team that "checked in" on him. Baltimore didn't end up with Jones, though. Instead, the Ravens struck a deal with the Cardinals for quarterback Jacoby Brissett, whose drop from the top of Arizona's depth chart to third string signaled around the league that he was on the move.

The Vikings have also been mentioned in connection with Jones, though reports characterize that interest as speculation rather than confirmed talks.

No other teams have been named publicly, and no trade involving Jones has been reported. Whether the Colts ultimately move on from the quarterback remains unclear.
