Alabama heads to Baton Rouge for Week 10 showdown with LSU

Both teams sit at 6-2 overall as No. 9 Alabama visits No. 15 LSU on Saturday with SEC and playoff positioning on the line.

Alabama and LSU meet Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. ET at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, with both programs carrying 6-2 records into the matchup. Alabama is 4-2 in SEC play, LSU is 3-2, and each team comes in off a bye week.

Alabama's path here has been bumpy, with back-to-back losses to Georgia and Tennessee before a 31-20 win over Texas A&M steadied things. The Crimson Tide still average 38.2 points per game, but quarterback Keelon Russell has been inconsistent, throwing for 311 yards in one outing and just 147 in another, with Tennessee picking him off twice.

LSU has looked steadier lately, winning two straight since an overtime loss at Kentucky, including a 38-17 win at Auburn. The Tigers lead the SEC at 510 yards per game and are unbeaten at home this season, going 5-0 at Tiger Stadium.

With both teams clinging to playoff hopes, a loss Saturday could be enough to knock either side out of contention, raising the stakes on what is already a marquee SEC date between Lane Kiffin and Kalen DeBoer.
