No. 10 Texas heads to Missouri in ranked SEC showdown

Both teams enter 6-2 off big wins, with Texas fresh off a 31-3 rout of Mississippi State and Missouri coming off a 34-10 win at Arkansas.

Texas and Missouri meet Saturday at Faurot Field in a matchup of ranked SEC teams both sitting at 6-2 and 3-2 in conference play. Kickoff is set for noon ET.

Texas arrives in good form after stumbling through October. The Longhorns dropped back-to-back three-point losses to Oklahoma and Florida before righting the ship with a 34-27 win over Ole Miss and a 31-3 blowout of Mississippi State. Quarterback Arch Manning delivered his cleanest performance of the season against Mississippi State, completing 16 of 20 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns. Texas was ranked No. 7 in the first College Football Playoff rankings this week.

Missouri has been just as steady, going 4-0 at home this season. The Tigers bounced back from a 31-3 loss at Ole Miss with a 34-10 win at Arkansas, and their only two losses on the year have come against Mississippi State and Ole Miss. Missouri also ranks second in the SEC in turnover margin at plus-eight, a stat that could matter against a Texas offense trying to keep its momentum going after a rough midseason stretch.
