The two multi-time Defensive Player of the Year winners will finally share the field Sunday against the Commanders.
Myles Garrett and Aaron Donald will play together for the first time ever when the Rams face the Commanders on Sunday, assuming nothing goes sideways before kickoff. It has taken this long because Donald sat out Week 1 while easing back into football after his two-year retirement, and Garrett has been out since Week 1 recovering from knee surgery.
Garrett's arrival in Los Angeles was reportedly the reason Donald came back at all, and now the Rams finally get to see what two multi-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year winners look like lined up on the same defensive front. Garrett is already relishing the idea of offenses trying to figure out which of them to account for.
"I think the offenses are really going to have to pick their poison. Who's going to be freed up this play? I think either of us are pretty good at winning one-on-one, so we'll have some fun," Garrett said.
The pairing also comes as the Rams look to lock down their first winning record of the season, with Trent McDuffie expected to be part of a healthier defense alongside them.
