The wide receiver and agent Drew Rosenhaus arrived at San Francisco's facility to discuss what comes next after his ACL and MCL tear.
Brandon Aiyuk showed up at the 49ers' business offices Friday afternoon, arriving by van with agent Drew Rosenhaus for a meeting that could settle the receiver's standing with the team once and for all.
Aiyuk has not played since October 20, 2024, when he tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee. Rosenhaus said before the sitdown that his client is feeling good physically and healthy, and is ready to get back to work. He declined to say where Aiyuk might end up playing, saying only that the matter would stay between the agent and the Niners, though he stressed they arrived with good intentions.
The relationship between Aiyuk and San Francisco has reportedly deteriorated since the injury, and Friday's meeting appears aimed at figuring out a resolution rather than a return to the 49ers' lineup. Whatever gets decided, it sounds like Aiyuk's next snaps, whenever they come, will not be in San Francisco.
No outcome from the meeting has been reported yet.
