Raphinha extends Barcelona contract through 2030

The Brazil forward's new deal replaces one that had been set to run through 2028.

Barcelona have locked up Raphinha through the end of the decade. The club announced Thursday that the Brazilian forward has signed an extension keeping him at Camp Nou until June 30, 2030, tearing up a previous contract that still had two years left on it.

Raphinha, 29, joined Barcelona in 2022 and has become one of the club's most reliable attackers since. Over his first 190 appearances he has racked up 94 goals and 54 assists, and he has already scored 19 this season.

The forward, who stands 5-foot-9 and weighs 152 pounds, called the new deal a source of pride for himself and his family. "Only we know what we went through internally from when we arrived at the club until today," he told reporters in Barcelona. He added that he feels proud of what he has accomplished both individually and collectively at the club, and said he would love to stay with Barcelona until he retires.

The extension cements Raphinha's status as a key piece of Barcelona's plans well into the future, giving the club long-term security at a position that has been central to its recent success.
