Sources told NFL Network and ESPN that Joe Milton will start at quarterback against the Giants in Week 9, a reversal from head coach Nick Sirianni's Monday statement that no change was coming.\n\nIt will be the first start of Milton's NFL career, a notable elevation for a team trying to pull out of a slump. The move suggests the Eagles' coaching staff saw enough in practice, or enough trouble with the incumbent, to make the switch now rather than ride out the struggles.\n\nDetails on what led to the shift, and what it means for the benched starter going forward, were not immediately available. For now, the story is simple: a team that insisted it was staying the course changed its mind within days, and a first-time starter gets his shot against a division rival.","published_at":"2026-11-04T22:35:37.438718+00:00","source_count":7,"written_from":[{"outlet":"Pro Football Talk","publisher":"NBC Sports","title":"Report: Eagles to start Joe Milton at QB this
