The All-Pro edge rusher did individual drills Wednesday, starting the 21-day clock for Green Bay to activate him off injured reserve.
Micah Parsons is back on the practice field with the Green Bay Packers, taking part in individual drills Wednesday as he works his way back from a torn ACL that has kept him out since mid-December. Coach Matt LaFleur confirmed the plan before practice.
The return starts a 21-day window for the Packers to activate Parsons from injured reserve. LaFleur called it a long time coming, noting the effort Parsons has put into the rehab. "To get him back out there will be a big boost to our team," LaFleur said.
Parsons tore the ACL in his left knee during a Dec. 14 loss at Denver, ending a dominant run in his first season with Green Bay. He had 12 1/3 sacks in 13 games after the Packers acquired him from the Dallas Cowboys just before the start of the season.
No timeline has been set for when Parsons will be cleared for full contact or make his actual return to a game, but the individual-drills session is the first concrete step toward that outcome.
