He signed a two-year, $40 million contract with Golden State this summer, with only $3 million guaranteed in the second season. According to Bobby Marks, the withheld pay is costing him $218,341 per game.\n\nThere are reportedly no plans for the Warriors to void the contract, and Porzingis is not disputing the lack of payments. The team is said to be seeking a trade for the 31-year-old forward before the Feb. 11 deadline, even as the stalemate over his pay continues.\n\nThe situation leaves Porzingis' future with the franchise unresolved, with his own next steps in the NBA also uncertain as the saga plays out.","published_at":"2026-11-04T17:51:44.237427+00:00","source_count":5,"written_from":[{"outlet":"The Athletic","publisher":"The Athletic","title":"Warriors withholding Kristaps Porziņģis' salary as absence from team continues: Sources","url":"https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7753389/2026/11/04/kristaps-porzingis-contract-salary-warriors-nba/"},{"outlet":"New York Post","publisher":"New York Post","title":"Warriors cut off Kristaps Porzingis’ pay as $20 million saga gets uglier","url":"https://nypost.com/2026/11/04/sports/warriors-cut-off-kristaps-porzingis-20-million-pay-as-saga-gets-uglier/"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Warriors reportedly not paying Kristaps Porziņģis as he contemplates NBA future","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/article/warriors-reportedly-not-paying-kristaps-porzingis-as-he-contemplates-nba-future-162041664.html"},{"outlet":"ESPN","publisher":"ESPN","title":"Warriors not making payments to Porzingis on $20M salary, sources say","url":"https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/50379460/warriors-not-making-payments-porzingis-sources-say"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Warriors not delivering salary payments to Kristaps Porzingis, ruling that he is not rendering services to team","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/warriors-not-delivering-salary-payments-155459529.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Golden State reportedly withholding payments to Kristaps Porzingis","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/golden-state-reportedly-withholding-payments-165131996.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Report: Warriors withholding payments to Kristaps Porzingis on $20M salary","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/report-warriors-withholding-payments-kristaps-164925198.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Warriors reportedly not paying Kristaps Porziņģis as he leans toward retirement","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/warriors-reportedly-not-paying-kristaps-084129256.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"What's going on with Kristaps Porzingis?
