Tyler Huntley will have surgery on turf toe and miss the rest of 2026, leaving Baltimore to start Joe Fagnano on Thursday night.
The Ravens' quarterback situation has gone from bad to worse. Tyler Huntley suffered a turf toe injury during Sunday's 36-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills that was severe enough to keep him out of the rest of that game, and further testing has now confirmed it will end his season. He is expected to undergo surgery.
The news lands days after Lamar Jackson went down with a right thumb injury on Baltimore's first play against Buffalo and is headed to injured reserve. That leaves the Ravens without their top two quarterbacks heading into a Thursday night matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Head coach Jesse Minter has little choice but to hand the job to undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano, with Kedon Slovis and Austin Reed behind him as depth. It is about as thin as a quarterback room gets in the middle of an NFL season, and the Ravens will have to find out in a hurry whether Fagnano is ready for it.
