Speaking on his weekly radio spot on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, Jones said simply, \"He needs the ball coming his way more,\" according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.\n\nThe numbers back up the complaint. Through eight games, Pickens has 62 targets, but that total has thinned out lately. He saw only four targets in Week 8 against the Cardinals and six the week before against the Eagles. For the season, Pickens has 39 catches for 533 yards and two touchdowns, a pace that projects to roughly 83 catches, 1,132 yards and 8.5 touchdowns.\n\nThat would be a step down from his 2025 output of 93 receptions, 1,429 yards and nine scores. Looming over all of it is a decision the Cowboys will eventually have to make about Pickens' future, though for now Jones' concern is simply getting him more involved on Sundays.","published_at":"2026-11-03T23:33:12.288917+00:00","source_count":3,"written_from":[{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"Cowboys' Jerry Jones has blunt response on George Pickens' useage: 'He needs the ball coming his way more'","url":"https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/cowboys-jerry-jones-wants-george-pickens-to-be-more-involved/"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Jerry Jones wants to see more targets for George Pickens","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/jerry-jones-wants-see-more-153521712.html"},{"outlet":"Pro Football Talk","publisher":"NBC Sports","title":"Jerry Jones wants to see more targets for George Pickens","url":"https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/jerry-jones-wants-to-see-more-targets-for-george-pickens"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Cowboys Announce Concerning George Pickens Update After 5th Loss of the Season","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/cowboys-announce-concerning-george-pickens-031052304.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Former Georgia Star George Pickens’ Cowboys Future in Question Amid Trade Talk","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/former-georgia-star-george-pickens-070947663.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Cowboys’ George Pickens Trade Talk Takes New Turn","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/cowboys-george-pickens-trade-talk-112710028.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"George Pickens trade update from NFL insider raises eyebrows after Cowboys loss","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/george-pickens-trade-nfl-insider-230622993.html"}],"image":{"url":"https://nbcsports.brightspotcdn.com/dims4/default/b044ccc/2147483647/strip/false/crop/1920x1080+0+0/resize/1920x1080!/quality/90/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fhdliveextra-a.akamaihd.net%2FHD%2Fimage_sports%2FNBCU_Sports_Group_-_nbcsports%2F335%2F255%2Fnbc_pft_cowboysoffense_261102.jpg","credit":"Pro Football Talk","width":1920},"embed":null,"license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","attribution":"Analysis data is licensed CC BY 4.0.
