The two-time major champion says he has not yet discussed a path back with the Tour and plans to play the DP World Tour for now.
Jon Rahm says he would take the same deal Brooks Koepka got to rejoin the PGA Tour, penalties and all. Speaking Tuesday ahead of the Abu Dhabi Aldar Golf Championship on the DP World Tour, Rahm was blunt about his willingness. "Most likely, yeah," he said. "Why not? Yeah, but it's a big if. I seriously doubt I get offered the same deal that Brooks did. But yeah, if I got offered exactly the same penalties as him, I probably would do it, yes."
Koepka was the first and only player to use the PGA Tour's returning member program back in January, and it came with real strings attached: no player equity program eligibility for five years, no FedExCup bonus money this year, and a $5 million donation agreement.
Rahm left LIV Golf last month after five years as the league's top earner, taking home more than $100 million beyond his initial contract. He says he has not yet had a conversation with the PGA Tour about a possible return. Until that changes, his plan is to spend the season on the DP World Tour, where he is now competing at Yas Links as part of the Tour Playoffs.
