The move comes as Minnesota deals with Justin Jefferson's ankle injury heading into Week 5.
Odell Beckham Jr. has a new team, again. The Minnesota Vikings signed the 33-year-old wide receiver and three-time Pro Bowler to their practice squad on Wednesday, days after the New York Giants released him.
Beckham's second stint with the Giants did not amount to much. He appeared in each of the team's first three games but managed just one target and no catches before getting cut.
The timing lines up with Minnesota's receiver situation. Justin Jefferson missed the Week 4 win over the Miami Dolphins with an ankle sprain and is in question for Sunday's road game against the New Orleans Saints. Beckham brings familiarity with the building, having worked under head coach Kevin O'Connell when O'Connell was his offensive coordinator with the Rams in 2021.
For now Beckham is practice-squad only. If Minnesota elevates him to the active roster, it would be the sixth team of his career, a list that already includes the Giants, Browns, Rams, Ravens and Dolphins' depth chart via free agency talks, plus this latest Giants return.
