Starter Lamar Jackson and backup Tyler Huntley both went down during the loss to the Bills, leaving Baltimore's depth chart in a state of emergency.\n\nThe team's response was to add Austin Reed to the practice squad, a move that signals just how thin things have gotten under center. Reports indicate the Ravens could realistically be down to an undrafted rookie quarterback as their primary option if the injuries to Jackson and Huntley are serious.\n\nThere is also chatter around the league about whether Baltimore should look outside the building entirely, with possible trade candidates being floated as a hedge in case Jackson is out for the rest of the season. Nothing has materialized yet, but the situation has gone from a minor headache to a full-blown crisis in the span of one game.\n\nFor a team built around Jackson's ability to make plays with his legs and arm, losing him for any extended stretch changes the outlook significantly. The Ravens will need to figure out their answer at the position soon, whether that means leaning on Reed, another in-house option, or making a move for outside help.","published_at":"2026-11-02T22:19:02.262734+00:00","source_count":4,"written_from":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Ravens add QB Austin Reed to practice squad","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/ravens-add-qb-austin-reed-212655640.html"},{"outlet":"Pro Football Talk","publisher":"NBC Sports","title":"Ravens add QB Austin Reed to practice squad","url":"https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/ravens-add-qb-austin-reed-to-practice-squad"},{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"Should Ravens trade for QB after Lamar Jackson, Tyler Huntley injuries?
