Browns and Steelers meet again with first place at stake

Both teams are 5-2 heading into Sunday's Week 8 rematch at Acrisure Stadium, with the AFC North lead on the line.

Cleveland and Pittsburgh are tied at 5-2 and set to play again, this time at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, with kickoff at 1 p.m. ET on CBS. The Browns currently hold the AFC North lead on the strength of their earlier win over the Steelers, 27-24, back in Week 4.

Pittsburgh has rattled off three straight wins since that loss, including a 16-10 road win at New Orleans in Week 7, and the Steelers are a perfect 3-0 at home this season while allowing 19.7 points per game, a top 10 defensive mark. Cleveland, meanwhile, has won three of its last four games but has struggled on the road at 2-2, and its offense has been inconsistent on third downs, converting just 32.6 percent, a bottom 10 figure.

The division remains tightly packed, with Cincinnati and Baltimore also sitting above .500, meaning Sunday's result could meaningfully shift the standings. Deshaun Watson, who already beat Pittsburgh once this season while completing 24 of 33 passes in that matchup, leads Cleveland into hostile territory looking to sweep the season series and tighten his team's grip on first place.
