Eagles, Commanders meet Sunday night both banged up

Philadelphia brings a five-game skid and no Jalen Hurts, while Washington returns from its bye without Terry McLaurin and Daron Payne.

The Eagles and Commanders square off tonight at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, in an NFC East matchup that looks a lot different than preseason expectations suggested. Washington enters at 1-4-1, Philadelphia at 2-5, and both rosters are thin in key spots.

The Commanders used their bye week to add former head coach Steve Wilks to the defensive staff, but the news wasn't all good. Starting defensive tackle Daron Payne is done for the season with a foot injury, a blow that comes on top of losing star wide receiver Terry McLaurin to injury back in Week 6.

Philadelphia's situation is arguably worse. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is out for the season, and wide receivers DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks will both sit out tonight's game as well. The Eagles started the year 2-0 but have since dropped five straight, and face a Commanders team desperate to end its own slide.

Kickoff details and broadcast information are available for fans looking to watch or stream the game.
