Eagles and Commanders meet Sunday night, both trying to end skids

Philadelphia brings a five-game losing streak to Landover as Washington returns from its bye still searching for consistency.

The Philadelphia Eagles visit the Washington Commanders in Week 8 of the 2026 NFL season on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, at 8:20 p.m. ET from Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland.

Philadelphia opened the season by beating Washington and Tennessee, but it has not won since and sits at 2-5 after five straight losses. The Eagles come in off a 38-21 loss to Dallas in Week 7 and are allowing 25 points per game. Their scoring attack has also slipped, now down to 15.8 points over their last few seasons according to one report.

Washington is 1-4-1, with its only win coming 33-31 over Seattle in Week 3. The Commanders return from their Week 7 bye after a 23-17 loss at San Francisco, and their 30.9 percent conversion rate on third down is the lowest in the NFL.

Both NFC East teams enter the Sunday Night Football matchup looking for a turnaround after disappointing starts, with neither club resembling the form that had Washington reaching last season's NFC Championship Game against Philadelphia.
