It was the Buffaloes' first Big 12 victory in 385 days, and it did not come easy.\n\nCostumed fans stormed the field after the final whistle, turning the moment into something closer to a holiday party than a typical Tuesday-night sigh of relief. But for one night, Colorado's fans got to celebrate, costumes and all.","published_at":"2026-10-31T23:05:12.791291+00:00","source_count":3,"written_from":[{"outlet":"The Athletic","publisher":"The Athletic","title":"Costumed Colorado fans storm field as Deion Sanders' team wins first Big 12 game in 385 days","url":"https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7742312/2026/10/31/colorado-kansas-state-score-result-field-storm-deion-sanders/"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Deion Sanders and Colorado survive in overtime for first Big 12 win of the season","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/deion-sanders-colorado-survive-overtime-214200888.html"},{"outlet":"Pro Football Talk","publisher":"NBC Sports","title":"Deion Sanders and Colorado survive in overtime for first Big 12 win of the season","url":"https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/deion-sanders-and-colorado-survive-in-overtime-for-first-big-12-win-of-the-season"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Colorado breaks losing streak with OT win over Kansas State","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/colorado-breaks-losing-streak-ot-233850916.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Deion Sanders reacts to Colorado's overtime win over Kansas State","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/deion-sanders-reacts-colorados-overtime-003020775.html"}],"image":{"url":"https://static01.nyt.com/athletic/uploads/wp/2026/10/31184547/GettyImages-2302430924.jpg","credit":"The Athletic","width":1024},"embed":null,"license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","attribution":"Analysis data is licensed CC BY 4.0.
