The league had already been looking into the Packers running back following his no-contest plea to misdemeanor battery stemming from an incident in May 2026.\n\nPolice records released Friday revealed that three other women made separate allegations of violence against Jacobs after the first incident became public. A case file obtained by NBC26 detailed those allegations, which were previously unreported.\n\nThe NFL now faces the task of identifying the women involved and trying to get them to cooperate with investigators. That process could take time, but it also raises the stakes considerably for Jacobs, who already missed six games on paid leave this season. He will get credit for that time regardless of the outcome, but the new allegations significantly increase the potential discipline the league could hand down once the investigation concludes.\n\nNo timetable has been given for when the review will wrap up.","published_at":"2026-10-31T22:18:02.771782+00:00","source_count":5,"written_from":[{"outlet":"The Athletic","publisher":"The Athletic","title":"NFL investigating Josh Jacobs for previously unreported abuse allegations","url":"https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7741755/2026/10/31/josh-jacobs-nfl-reviewing-unreported-allegations-abuse/"},{"outlet":"Pro Football Talk","publisher":"NBC Sports","title":"NFL \"will review\" the new allegations against Josh Jacobs","url":"https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/nfl-will-review-the-new-allegations-against-josh-jacobs"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"NFL "will review" the new allegations against Josh Jacobs","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/nfl-review-allegations-against-josh-164447927.html"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"ESPN","publisher":"ESPN","title":"NFL to review additional allegations against Packers RB Jacobs","url":"https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/50338005/nfl-review-additional-allegations-packers-jacobs"},{"outlet":"New York Post","publisher":"New York Post","title":"NFL responds to more allegations emerging against Josh Jacobs as his attorneys push back","url":"https://nypost.com/2026/10/31/sports/nfl-responds-to-more-allegations-emerging-against-josh-jacobs/"}],"image":{"url":"https://static01.nyt.com/athletic/uploads/wp/2026/10/31140211/2026-10-30T022458Z_1204754790_MT1USATODAY30221418_RTRMADP_3_NFL-CAROLINA-PANTHERS-AT-GREEN-BAY-PACKERS-scaled-e1793469749372.jpg","credit":"The Athletic","width":2553},"embed":null,"license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","attribution":"Analysis data is licensed CC BY 4.0.
