Warriors erase 25-point deficit, Curry crosses up Doncic in win over Lakers

Steph Curry's third-quarter crossover sent Luka Doncic to the floor before he buried a three over him as Golden State rallied to beat Los Angeles 112-95.

The Lakers jumped out to a 25-point first-quarter lead in San Francisco on Friday night, with Luka Doncic pouring in 21 points in the opening period alone. It did not hold up. Stephen Curry and the Warriors flipped the game in the second quarter and never let it slip away, closing out a 112-95 win to open the Emeritus NBA Cup West Group C.

The game's defining moment came in the third quarter, when Curry hunted a switch onto Doncic. He dribbled left, stopped on a dime, and crossed Doncic so hard the Lakers star ended up on the floor. Curry stepped back and calmly splashed a three-pointer over him, then celebrated with the Bay Area crowd as the building erupted.

Doncic still finished with 37 points, continuing an early-season run that has him playing at an MVP pace, but it was not enough to prevent the collapse. The loss snapped the Lakers' momentum after a 103-87 road win over the Clippers two nights earlier, when Doncic sat out with back tightness. Los Angeles falls to 4-2 on the season.
