He was initially released due to insufficient evidence, but the Brown County District Attorney's office later filed a criminal complaint in late August. In September, Jacobs pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property.\n\nAccording to the newly surfaced files, one woman contacted police in June after learning of the May arrest, telling officers she had experienced a similar incident with Jacobs years earlier and had not reported it at the time. She said she was coming forward now so people would believe the woman who accused Jacobs in May.\n\nJacobs spent the first six weeks of the 2026 season on the commissioner's exempt list rather than facing a suspension while the NFL investigated. He has since made his season debut. Packers coach Matt LaFleur has repeatedly defended Jacobs throughout the case, saying he believes Jacobs is a good person. The NFL's investigation into Jacobs remains ongoing.","published_at":"2026-10-31T22:18:02.771782+00:00","source_count":5,"written_from":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo
