Three more women accuse Packers' Josh Jacobs of abuse

Newly released police files show the women came forward after Jacobs' May domestic violence arrest, to which he later pleaded no contest.

Newly released case files from the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department show that three additional women contacted investigators with accusations of abuse against Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs after his arrest in May.

Jacobs was originally arrested in May following a domestic violence incident with his then-girlfriend, booked on five charges including felony strangulation and suffocation. He was initially released due to insufficient evidence, but the Brown County District Attorney's office later filed a criminal complaint in late August. In September, Jacobs pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property.

According to the newly surfaced files, one woman contacted police in June after learning of the May arrest, telling officers she had experienced a similar incident with Jacobs years earlier and had not reported it at the time. She said she was coming forward now so people would believe the woman who accused Jacobs in May.

Jacobs spent the first six weeks of the 2026 season on the commissioner's exempt list rather than facing a suspension while the NFL investigated. He has since made his season debut. Packers coach Matt LaFleur has repeatedly defended Jacobs throughout the case, saying he believes Jacobs is a good person. The NFL's investigation into Jacobs remains ongoing.
