With the deadline approaching Tuesday, Nov. 10, the Colts, Titans and Cardinals have already shipped out star players.
The NFL trade deadline is turning into an actual event this year instead of the usual quiet afternoon. Things kicked off before Week 6 when the Cardinals sent wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 draft, to the Texans.
Since then the Colts have essentially started a fire sale, dealing left guard Quenton Nelson to the Seahawks and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the 49ers, reportedly in exchange for a haul of draft picks. Not to be left out, the Titans shipped their best player, All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, to the Bears for two first-round picks and a fourth.
With one more round of games left before the deadline hits Tuesday, Nov. 10, teams falling out of playoff contention are expected to keep cashing in veterans for picks. If nothing else happens between now and then, this is already shaping up as one of the busiest trade stretches the league has seen in years. More names are reportedly being discussed as the clock runs down.
