The undefeated Vikings travel to face a division rival in Detroit, and oddsmakers have them as underdogs despite the perfect record. Elsewhere, Ravens-Bills and Chiefs-Broncos headline a slate that also includes Bears at Seahawks on Monday night.\n\nMeanwhile, not every franchise is playing for October relevance. The Colts and Titans both appear to be shifting into sell mode, a sign that their seasons have effectively turned toward next year. On the other side of the ledger, teams in the NFC West and NFC North are reportedly looking to add pieces as they push for playoff positioning.\n\nAmong the week's other matchups, the Commanders are favored to handle a shorthanded Eagles squad, and the Jaguars are expected to roll past the Colts. Analysts across outlets are divided on several of the closer matchups, but the broad shape of the week is clear: haves are buying, have-nots are selling, and the undefeated Vikings are about to find out if Detroit can finally hand them a loss.\n\nWhat happens next is simple: the games get played, and by Monday night the league's hierarchy will look a little different.","published_at":"2026-10-29T21:48:43.305445+00:00","source_count":4,"written_from":[{"outlet":"SB Nation","publisher":"SB Nation","title":"NFL Expert Picks for Week 8","url":"https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/1134213/nfl-picks-week-8"},{"outlet":"The Athletic","publisher":"The Athletic","title":"NFL staff picks for Week 8: Vikings-Lions, Ravens-Bills, Chiefs-Broncos, Bears-Seahawks","url":"https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7730468/2026/10/29/nfl-staff-picks-week-8-chiefs-broncos-bears-seahawks/"},{"outlet":"CBS Sports","publisher":"CBS Sports","title":"NFL Week 8 picks, best bets: Commanders handle disadvantaged Eagles, Jaguars rout Colts","url":"https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-week-8-picks-predictions-odds-best-bets-commanders-vs-eagles/"}],"more_coverage":[{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"Full list of Week 8 straight-up picks with confidence levels","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/full-list-week-8-straight-110000371.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"NFL Expert Picks for Week 8","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/nfl-expert-picks-week-8-180938630.html"},{"outlet":"Yahoo Sports","publisher":"Yahoo Sports","title":"NFL Week 8 Game Picks","url":"https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/nfl-week-8-game-picks-182919506.html"}],"image":null,"embed":null,"license":"https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/","attribution":"Analysis data is licensed CC BY 4.0.
